Feb 13, 2021 - First little flower of spring?

Was so surprised, I snapped a quick photo.

Then after 10 days of gorgeous mild weather, most of the country got hit with an arctic cold front.  Now that has passed, and would you believe, the little bright crocuses made it?  This morning I noted there were 6 or 7 bunches of them scattered around the front side of the yard.

Looking at last year's photos, I realized that the daffodils should be close behind, so I went looking.  And sure enough! :)

Oh and the Eurasian-collared Doves have been sitting on a nest 10' up in the pine tree since roughly Friday 12 Feb.  I worried about them during the bitter weather.  We don't know if the eggs are still viable, but they continue to sit there.
