Surely we are not the only gardeners who thought their bean seeds were coming up gangbusters, expectantly put up string for them to climb only to find...
that they were Morning Glories! Lots and lots and lots of Morning Glories! :)
Jump ahead to 2024. It still being early (May), and having NOT PLANTED any bean seeds, and knowing there are bushels of Morning Glory seeds hiding below the fall layer of chicken manure, we will not be fooled twice. We joy in their spunk and resilience, and have vowed to pluck them out to make way for some actual beans.
